One Mystery Solved ... One to Go!

I found out why my humans moved everything out of the kids' room! They were just rearanging it (and changing the wall color while they were at it.) Whew! That's a relief. Sometimes humans act so... strange. They always seem to want to change things. But I'll admit that the kids' room looks pretty good.

Now, about the other mystery...

So, like I said before, the kids brought home some really weird stuff one day. It smelled like some kind of animal. And now, look what the kids put in their room!
It looks like some kind of cage. The strange thing is, there's no animal in it. But it smells like an animal, and my nose is never wrong!

Weird stuff

There seems to be no end to the strange things that have been happening lately.

It started out gradually. The kids and my mom had been spending more time in the kids' room. They seemed to be sorting through things-- putting some stuff in boxes, and bringing other stuff to different rooms. And then, one day, they started moving furniture. The huge bunk bed was taken apart so now it's two beds. The shelves were taken off the wall.

That night, the kids brought out these fluffy things they called 'sleeping bags.' Instead of sleeping in their room like they normally do, they put their sleeping bags on the floor in another room and slept in them! I even got to sleep on the sleeping bags with them! That was so fun. I hope they start sleeping in their sleeping bags every night.

And today they've been busier than ever. I don't even know what they're doing, but somehow they're turning the wall pink! Creepy...

Well, I don't know what my humans are trying to do, but it's something big, I can tell you that much.

A strange smell

Yesterday, my humans were gone for a long time. When the finally came back, they brought a bunch of... stuff.  I don't really know what most of it is. But it sure smells strange. It smells like something furry, an animal of some sort. I've smelled squirrels, birds, mice, rats, dogs, cats, deer and horses, but this smell is different than any of those. I just can't figure out exactly what it is! Well, something strange is going on, I know that.

I'll have to keep my eyes (and my nose) peeled. I'll let you know if I find out anything else!

The 4th of July

Last night was kind of... well, odd. I think there was a big war or something, because I heard all of these bombs exploding. And something really strange happened when my humans took me outside. My dad walked forward and bent down to the ground. I think he was trying to disarm a bomb before it exploded. All of the sudden he started running towards us. And then there was some kind of explosion. There were sparks flying everywhere! Then there was a really loud whistling sound. My humans, surprisingly, didn't seem nearly as worried as I was. I think they were pretending to be calm so I wouldn't get scared. They took me inside after that. I was afraid they were going to get blown up out there, but thankfully they came back safe and sound.

The really wierd part is that everything seems back to normal today. I think that was the shortest war in all of history! Either that... or it's not over yet. I'm going to have to watch out for explosions for the next few days.

Groomed Again :(

Well, I got groomed ... AGAIN. *Groan* This time the groomer cut all of my fur short.

I don't see why my humans always bring me to that terrible place. Every few months they seem to be convinced my fur needs shaving. But why...?

Well, anyways, hopefully I'll be able to post some new pictures soon.

I got babysat!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy being babysat.

My humans had been talking about it for a while, and I was wondering what in the world babysitting was. I was beginning to think it had no meaning at all.

One morning my humans went bye-bye. It wasn't like my humans to leave at such an early time. I was very confused.

I waited expectantly for hours, but my humans didn't come back. Finally I heard someone at the door. So I got up, stretched myself and waited for my humans to come inside. The door opened and there was... huh? The girl at the door was a friend of my humans. I was confused, but still happy to see her. She fed me, played with me, let me outside and even took me on a walk! Then she left.

For a few days the girl came several times a day. I began to get used to babysitting.

Then, one day, I heard someone at the door. Of course, I expected it was the girl. But when the door opened, I saw my humans! At last, they were back!

Babysitting is kind of weird if you ask me, but it was pretty fun for a few days.

Oink

My humans tell me that pigs like to lay in the mud. I think I am a lot like I pig because I like to lay in the mud, too!

It's been pretty warm out lately, and I've been getting really hot when we go on walks. So when I see some mud, I just lay down to get cooled off. My humans don't seem to like it, but I don't understand why. I'm just cooling off!

And after I'm out of the mud, my humans let me go swimming or spray me with the hose, so I get cooled off again! Talk about killing two birds with one stone tooth!
