Squirt

The ferret (my humans are calling it "Squirt") is still living in the cage. I can't understand why my humans would want to keep a ferret. Why don't they just eat it already? And here's something that's even weirder: when I growl at Squirt, my humans get all mad at me! What am I supposed to do? Just ignore it? But it's a FERRET!

It's all very confusing. If I didn't know any better I would think that my humans actually like Squirt.

The "Ferret"

Something wierd is going on... just what I'm not sure. My humans brought home some kind of animal and put it in the cage that they got a few months ago. I still can't figure out exactly what it is, but my humans call it a "ferret" and they seem to absolutely adore it. The cage is up on a table so I haven't gotten a really good look at it, but it smells funny....

Well, I'll let you know what happens!

Costumes

The kids are forever dressing me up in wierd looking, uncomfortable costumes. Don't ask me WHY they do it, but I suppose it's a human thing.

Here's some pictures they took of me in my costumes:

The Trash Can

There is one thing in life that puzzles me more than anything else: THE TRASH CAN!!

Every day, my humans put a ton of food, wrappers, and other yummy stuff in the trash can. And then the next day it mysteriously dissapears. But WHY would they put perfectly good food in the trash can? Maybe some of it's moldy or old, but does that really matter? I would gladly eat it for them if they don't want it.

Whenever I try to eat something from the trash can, my humans get all mad at me. I just don't understand it. They're obviously not planning to eat it.

Well, I suppose that's just another one of the mysterious habits of humans.

Vacation

I found out what my humans do while I get babysat!! Here's what happened:

My humans brought out the suitcases a couple of nights ago. I knew that could only mean one thing. I was going to get babysat again ... or so I thought. Turns out I was completely wrong.

The next morning my humans did the usual vacation stuff-- they brought their suitcases to the car, turned off all of the lights in the house and closed the doors. And then came the dreaded moment. They opened the door, walked through it and... "Come on, George!!" I was completely stunned. I couldn't believe it. I was going to go with them! They led me to the car, and I hopped in. Then we drove for a VERY long time. We stopped every once in a while to get out and stretch, but we were still in the car for long stretches of time. My humans found out that I have a fear of driving over bridges. They just make me so nervous!!

I don't know exactly how long we drove, but we finally reached our destination-- some little town. We went into a big building and climbed some stairs. Then my humans led me down a long hall with lots of doors. They stopped at one door, unlocked it, opened it, and I found myself in a little room with two beds, a bathroom, a desk, chairs... it was like a whole house squished into one room! We met some nice people (the kids say that they were their uncle and aunt), and then we slept in the room.

The next day we drove to another town. My humans left me in the car for a while. After that we all went hiking at some "historic site" in the mountains. There were so many jackrabbits there! I wanted to chase them so badly, but my humans had other ideas. They really need to let me go hunting. I don't know where my humans even get their food right now, because they definately do not hunt. Anyways, after that we drove for another really long time and we reached home again!

So that's what my humans do while I get babysat. I really don't see any point in it, but humans will do what humans will do. And at least they didn't leave me home this time!

Better Breakfast Month!!

September is BETTER BREAKFAST MONTH and I am really excited!!!! I mean, it would be unjust for my humans not to give me better breakfasts during better breakfast month, wouldn't it? Of course it would! And it's not like it would be bad for me or anything. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! I'm looking forward to a whole month of sausages, waffles, pancakes, cereal, eggs-- oh, I wish it was September all year!
